Default Lowering Bolts?!

Has anyone used these and had no problems with them? Are they safe to use?

I have thought about getting a set. I have mine lowered on the stock bolts and would like to get it a little lower but I don't want the expense of coil overs. I am not sure if it is these bolts, but I remember seeing a post about problems some have had with after market bolts.

Not trying to hi-jack the thread, but what all is involved with installing these bolts?

I have them now lowered all the way. Would never Not do it again. Just grease the pads and lower it. Best appearance mod for the money. Dont listen to people who have never done it. There are some horror story's but mainly from people who didnt do it right or never took care of their cars.

My lowering bolts lasted less than 5k miles until the pads ripped and cracked and came completely off the bolts leaving the metal bolt pad to rest of the aluminum control arm. They made the worst noise you could imagine. I then replaced the pads with hardbar bolts and pads made of delrin. They have also worn down a lot but they haven't cracked like the westcoast ones did. Every time it rains they squeak so bad you swear you are in a 18th century wooden ship. The only way to get them to stop is crawl under the car and re-grease them. You also have to keep the contact pad of the aluminium control arm clean or dirt and debris will get in there grind pitts into the control arms which will cause sharp edges and rip those pads off eventually.

If I was to do it over again I would just cut a rib off the stock pad or wait until you could afford to lower it correctly with spindles or coilovers.

Did you grease them with the correct grease from day of install? I have about 9k miles on these bolts and they look new.

Yes I used grease from day one. Maybe I was just unlucky with them. Maybe it's also Houston roads are just that rough on suspension parts.
