So has anyone else ever experienced this. It got up to the mid 40's today so I thought I would start the Vette up and get the oil circulating, it's been about four months since it's been running.
It started right up, so after it was warmed up I turned on the heat and set each zone to the mid 70's. A little while later I went to change the heat settings and nothing happened. It wouldn't let me turn it off, change the temp setting, turn on the defrost, nothing. Every function on the climate control was locked up. I then shut the car off and after the climate control display went blank, I started it back up and everything worked fine.
Is the climate control unit going bad??? I have read before about them blinking when they start to go bad but never freezing up.
I have had this happen on rare occasions. It happened to me when I tried to make temp. adjustments right after start up before things kind of "settled (sp?) in". Like you when I restarted there was no problem. I would give it some time and see if you have a real problem or just a glitch.
