Navigation System C6 2005
My navigation system does not work, the map comes up but when i press the destination it just freezes up.

Someone over in the C6 Parts forsale and WTB, is selling the dash unit..Didn't see the price....but I imagine is is pretty reasonable.

DVD good? In an almost 10 year old car, if the DVD has been in there all that time and not cleaned, I would expect trouble. Take the DVD out and see if you can copy all of the files to a temporary folder on your computer. A new DVD is going to be a lot less expensive than a new nav unit.

Clean it up
I was having a similar problem and I removed all the previous destinations.My girl friend was using my car and the Nav system was erratic. We removed the previous locations and the nav system operates as it should. The nav system in my car wanted to send me to the previous locations. Why,I don't know . When the previous locations were removed the nav system took me to the location I wished to go.The nav system drove me crazy until I mastered the usage. In my opinion,its not that easy to use until you play with it and learn the quirks. Hope this suggestion helps. Rod
