Thinking of cancelling XM (Sirus) and using an iPod instead:
1. Has anyone used the Neo Prolink PODGMXMV215?
2. What do you think of the unit? Good, bad, etc.
3. It appears it installs inline at the rear of the 2006 coupe by pulling back some of the carpet and installing the unit (inline) with the radio system at the rear. It appears further you merely use the display/radio to choose songs, etc. Is it that simple?
4. Does it work with a Nano iPod?
5. Any other comments?
I had it, works fine, connects at the back of the XM module in the rear.
Comes with the iPod connector, (large connector) but you can work it from the GM head unit, I sold mine and bought a Kenwood head unit with XM, I put an adapter on the cable connector and used my iPhone 5 too
PAL Version 2 owner here. Purchased used from a forum member for $150. Very easy to install. Plugs into your XM module under the back deck. Hardest part was running the cable to the console. This unit as great functionality with the stock head unit.
Unless you just have to control the Ipod from the radio (and have it read out the song on the radio), you can get a line tap harness for the XM unit to pick up the right and left channel output feeds for around $20 to plug the Ipod into the phone that way instead.
The harness just plugs in between the XM and the radio at either under the waterfall on a convertible, or above the driver side rear wheel well under the carpet.
Trust is, most of the ipod adapters make the use of such more of rocket science in use to get get the radio to control the Ipod, and since you can control the ipod just about as easy, the tap harness is a lot easier/faster to use instead.

I'm interested in this. Might you have any pictures? Thanks!
I have the PAL version 2... It's been installed for a couple weeks and I'm rather lukewarm to it. It has proven a bit buggy. The "shuffle" soft button doesn't work and, yesterday, it stopped working all together. I had to disconnect power to the PAL module to get it to work.
PAL 2 has been utterly dependable for me. I like having the song title come up on the head unit and i like being able to toggle through all the really bad music I have accumulate over the years with my steering wheel control.
