I am changing engine oil today, on my '05, because it has been one (1) year since the last LOF service. Here is the sad part; in the last 12 months I have driven it 520 miles. This as got to change. So next week, I will be driving it to work.
Most of us in the North East can’t drive our Vettes because of the horrible winter that we’ve been experiencing. In sunny California you don’t have that excuse. Get out and drive it.
I remember growing up my Dad would put those clear plastic seat covers on his Ramblers.... He said it was so the seats didn't get worn out......in the meantime they were hot in the summer and freezing in the winter.....but the next owner got some nice seats.
I enjoy driving my Corvette and I keep it cleaned up but only show it once a year. I am not saving it for the next guy, I'm using it right now......If I wear it out I will get another......I recommend you drive that thing long and far and fast....

And the problem is real bad winters create real bad roads!

We actually had a real winter this year in Arkansas and I haven't gotten it out all winter, except to drive it down to Ragin Racin. Thursday we are having our monthly Vette club meeting. Weather is going to be nice, and I can't think of one reason not to hear the new cam thump.

Ill have to make a week end trip and get you out on the road. I have a doc over by the hosp. that I have to go to occasionally.

It's 81 here in San Diego! Needless to say, it is BEAUTIFUL on the beach with the Vette. Love So. Cal.
I'm surprised a 2005 made it that many miles From what everyone says who's never owned one it should be in the bone yard by now.
BTW, don't feel so bad. I only put about 3k on my 05 last year.
My '05 still looks like new. Everything works. It is 100%. I will always keep it that way. Had a few of the typical C6 issues, but overall, a great car.

My dad did that too. He always had Oldsmobiles. He would also put carpet sections down on top of the carpet.

Hey Bill, the winter here was more like summer. Mostly in the 70s and 80s. Got to love the weather here. Hate the taxes and traffic. Yes, time to start putting some more miles on it.

I'm guilty too. It's been almost 14 months since my last oil change and I have driven my baby less than 150 miles. No regrets. My '05 still looks like a brand new car. It's currently at the local Chevy dealer getting fully serviced including engine oil and radiator fluid change.
I drive mines on Friday thru Sunday if the weather is nice, I have a 96, BMW 328is for a DD, but I love to drive the vette and may get another one after my retirement in sept(36 Years active /reserves army combine)
