From: If you wanna live life on your own terms, you gotta be willing to crash and burn Florida
When I bought mine the owner put on a brand new set of BFG KDW's. They are a summer tire, ride is great, tread is really cool looking. Traction is relative, IDC what street tire you have hooking up over 400hp & 440lbs isn't easy.
Tires are like anything else, depends on how much you want to spend..and also you get what you pay for. Michelien are awesome tires, I had them on my C6Z..I also had the old General Exclaim UHP(not made any more)tires that were only 1k for the set. While the Exclaim's were fine for daily driving .. I could definitely tell the difference in the Pilot Sports when I put them on, just that much better performing for the money.
Lots of choices, you also have to consider how you drive your car... street, track, both..? No reason to spend top dollar for a track and street tire if you never track the car.
Michelin Pilot PS2's are a good suggestion. Replaced my original GY Eagles last year with them and notice a big difference. But like AGGIE76 mentioned above lots of opinions.

I had a set of those on our Cadillac SRX, and it was a really smooth running tire. I think for that car, they only cost a bit over $500 for the four. Main problem is the tread life isn't too great.
Went with firestone RFT's. better ride and less noise
I put a set of Firestone rft's on one year ago and I couldn't be happier with them. As you said...great ride, quiet, smooth and a lot of other owners say the mileage of the tire is excellent.
