Auto shifter part replacement
Hi All, I need to replace the part on my 2006 automatic under the shifter console that the gear indicator (P..N...etc.) is connected to. This is also the part that the boot slips over. Looks kinda like a plastic oval ring that's about 1/2 an inch thick. Any idea on how this piece comes off ??

Wouldn't surprise me at all. Still not sure if I need a new one till I can get the old one off. I was pretty sure it comes off as I thought I had seen post before with it off as people were showing pics of how they tied their "Park" lock out back so they wouldn't get stranded cause they can't get it out of park. Can't seem to find the post now though. Still looking for how it comes off though......Thanks
