Hi. I have an 06 convertible. About 45k miles. No selective magnetive ride control. It seems to me that over the last year the ride seems rougher. Notice bumps more, and less compliance over rougher surfaces. Would like to restore a smoother ride and freshen it up more as it was new.
Not interested in a more aggressive suspension. What can I replace that may have deteriorated over time? Tires are not run flats and have about 12000 miles on them. Thanks for any advice.
Shocks do wear out or leak, but wear usually gives a soft floaty ride, not harsher. Unless the wheel starts bouncing up and down over a rippled surface.
But everyones butt-o-meter is calibrated differently.
If by some chance you are still on the original Goodyears, they get pretty hard as the miles build up.
Other brands will also get a bit stiffer with mileage, but not as much.
