C6 issues ?

C6 issues ?
So my brother is looking to get a c6 base. I have a c5 so I am familiar with the c5's issues but I was wondering if the c6 has any of the same as the c5 did? The c6 my brother is interested in has a STS twin turbo kit on it as well.

(This could add up fast.)Personally the only way I would consider that car is with $15K off comparable prices assuming the engine will have to be replaced but I'll risk the cost of the possible transmission and rear end problems. Maybe the car was babied after all the cost of beefing it up but why risk it?
As far as common C6 issues, 2005 had a weak rear and DBS. After that they are all pretty much very reliable daily drivers.

A lot of people have harmonic balancer issues. I had it on my 06 at about 52k miles. I also had the headlights turn off because of a broken wire in the fuse box. Fixed it in less than 2 hours. But other than that. Its been a great car.

Many have a rocking seat issue, similar to the C5s but different. And have him check the oil pan for leaks. That is $1000 to fix.
I haven't heard many people who have problems with the gears in the hidden headlights on their C6s. That's one good thing.
