Hi Everyone. I have recently purchased a 2005 C6. It runs great except
that I notice when I turn the steering wheel all the way one way or the other (especially to left) , I get this strange almost grinding feeling like I'm driving over some river rock. It only happens when the wheel is at the extreme left of right. I have the standard wheels on.
Has anyone ever experinced this. If so , what is it ??

Hi Ralph! It's the tires and it is normal at low speed when the steering wheel is cranked hard to one side or the other.
I had a similar problem and after watching the forum determined it was that I needed to change my differential fluid. Made the mistake of going to an independent shop who put BG fluid in and the noise was 10 times louder. Had the GM Dealer I bought car from change to OEM fluid and have no noise since.
