Default Help - Info ...
Guys I have a friend parked is vette for winter ... NO battery tender...Battery dead of course...entering key at back above license plate - nothing happens... What's next ...what to do... Any information or suggestions would help...

The key can be very difficult if never used before, I would spray it with some WD40 and try again, it should work.

Is the key not actuating the lock or is the deck lid not popping up? If the lock is turning, try prying the lid open carefully. If the key is not turning the lock, try the key in the other fob.

Lift front end of car. Apply 12v to battery cable post on starter solinoid and ground. Door should open.

EV Rose ...from underneath it is accessible pretty easy .... you also mean put battery charger - booster on ..........

You need to try the metal key more carefully. Is it turning or not. If it is turning 1/4 turn and doing nothing, then best is to power the car with 12v through the starter terminal and charge the battery that way. Then get back later on and get that metal key working...important.

Was thinking about it......... If dealer really suggested that ...
I suggested to my friend battery charger at solenoid...to get door
popped open then charge battery... Thanks guys ...I aint saying anything about dealership in question here !!! Ill leave it at that ...
