I believe I read a few threads on this topic awhile back. I just started hearing a distinct "buzzing" sound emanating from the top of my dash, mostly when I am driving over old/rough pavement. Wasn't there some sort of a TSB on this issue awhile back? My car is a 2012 C6 coupe.
Mine does it, and I'm hoping to finally fix it this spring sometime. For me though, if/when it happens is dependent on two things; air temperature and speed. Most commonly, warm weather and 70-80mph it is the worst on mine. Turning cabin air recirculation ON reduces the sound but does not always eliminate it.

Silver....this has been an issue for many of us....even though it sounds like it is inside it is most likely the plastic outside cowl....tape will tell....and many have used silicone on the inside to stop this....try it and see...
There are certain 2012-2013 Corvette that may have an air inlet grill panel that creates a noise while driving. It will sound like a buzz noise due to the soft part of it contacting the windshield.
The new part number, 25778761 repairs the condition.
If you have this condition, Simply ask them to run a check of the vehicle and see if your vehicle is involved.

When I recently purchased my 2012 GS….I did the CarFax run and found that the 1st owner had taken the vehicle to the dealer to address this issue ….. upon further research, I was issued the response to this issue by GM and they did exactly as is stated above. I have no buzzing issues in the vehicle!
The problem has been around for at least the C6 model.
A new cowl with silicon at the five clips has seemed to fix the problem.
I tried silicon at the window under the cowl and made a mess and tore the welded seem leading to another cowl replacement.
It isn't a difficult DIY fix. Getting the wiper arms off can be a little tricky without a puller but possible nevethless.
Just pay attention to the washer hose routing and wiper blade location, I used some tape at the window for a alinment reference.
Some have reported missing clips, there should be five clips, attaching the underside of the cowl to the bottom of the winshield glass, this is were I added the silicon. Without the clips/silicon the cowl can vibrate against the glass.
Is mine the only one that buzzes on rough roads? Speed and air temp seem to make no difference, but once the road is anything other then perfectly smooth, the annoying buzzing starts...
Mine did this from new delivery. I would have sworn that it was in the dash on the passenger side, but I did the tape trick on the trim at base of windshield and found that it cured the buzz. I bought a tube of the silicone adhesive caulk meant for plumbing, sinks, etc. from home Depot and laid a bead between the glass and the black trim piece at the windshield base. Hasn't made a noise since.
