Lets see some pics when she's all cleaned up! That's how I bought mine too, left the outback steakhouse on a Friday night, drove back Saturday morning to buy my C6.

pickup a used Npp for '08 if you want straight bolt on. if you can get the full xpipe, you can pickup any year after that (non z06, it's 3" as opposed to 2.5").I got mine for $400 with x-pipe off of a '12 GS. guy was asking $600.
you can get the whole install kit for the Npp from a forum vendor, maybe $250 or so? probably a few hundred to install.. in the end, well worth it.. Best exhaust ever.. quiet when you cruise, noisy when u want it to be..

Thanks everyone, its bring tears to my eyes to a part of a great group of folks and own a vett as well. To late on hiding the wallet, Lloyd mats on order, cup holder, spoiler tomorrow and the list goes on, and I thought the exhaust was going to be first. Good thing i'm retired and got steady income coming in

Got up Saturday morning to go eat breakfast, came home with a brand new to me 2007 RED/Black C6 base.
I had no intention on buying but when we was leaving I-Hop there was a black/black c6 parked next to my wife cts so she said let go look at vets today. The rest is history.
So its time to make it my own, first thing is the sound, to quite, i want the dual mode in order to control it. So any advice i can get from you all will be appreciated. As soon as I can figure out how to post pics they will be coming. LET THE FUN BEGIN

naw I remember getting mine 2 years ago yesterday, It wasn't as sudden as yours but it was still a great experience, especially since it was on Friday the 13th and I got pulled over that morning doing a wheelie on my crotch rocket on my way to get my insurance so I could go pick up my vette. cop was cool and just said don't do that **** around town and let me go haha have fun
