Default Probably Mice?

Took the cover off the car Saturday. Driving Sunday, realized the A/C fan was struggling, making noise with low output. Was fine when I put it away last Fall. I catch mice in the garage every year, including 4 or 5 somewhat recently, but never had a problem with the car in 7 years. Where to start? The cabin air filter? Could they have gotten past that?
Thanks

I had the same problem over the winter. I put sticky traps behind each wheel and then put poison under the car. I caught 1 on the sticky trap and noticed them stocking piling the poison in the engine compartment. It finally worked and I'm rat free for now. They seem to use the wheels to get up in the engine bay. That's why I put the sticky traps behind the wheels.

The only reason I knew I had mice is because I was at work one day staring out the window and saw a mouse run out from under my car. I thought it was pretty funny at first... then it ran back under and disappeared

I went out and popped the hood and saw all the mice ****, acorns stock piled and they had chewed on my hood release cable.

They seem to be gone now. I keep my garage really clean, but I think they just were looking for a warm place.

I keep three traps in out garage all the time, we live in the country. I bet I've caught/killed 20 or 30 mice this winter. Just part of the country. At least they weren't eating the car, I hope. The cover should come off of it next week, I'll hope for the best.

Check your cabin filter just to be sure

during the winter I tape on the these packets onto the battery ( in addition to keeping a few traps in strategic places)
