Default Need help!

Hey yall I have a '05 c6 that I wrecked at the track...I'm putting it back together and changing the color and I have run into a problem. I need the door jam off (I think that's what the part is called lol) ... I attached a pic of it... But I need it off and it seems to b glued on tight. Anyone have any suggestions on a way to get it off without breaking it? really trying to avoid having to tape it off! Thanks for yalls help :-)

If you are talking about the "Corvette" sill guard, a little heat (blow dryer) and some strong line like floss or fishing line, should get it off. It's just glued on. But if it schreds/breaks it's not a really expensive part.

It's "bonded" with some of the superest super glue type stuff you can imagine. There have been stories over the years how they have to be chiseled off. I'm not aware of any such removal that left a reusable part.

I assume the part you're talking about is the lock pillar trim. Circled in the photo.

It should be held on with clips, like it's extension sections such as the sill trim.

Guess we need some clarification as to the exact piece you are talking about
I feel your pain, I crashed at the track and did a color change too
I did a body off paint job except the rocker panel as it is glued on solid. Everything else we removed
Good luck
David
