Default Rim Size Question

I am looking to run a 17"x8.5" rim in the rear. Will this fit or will i need spacers?

I have a 2008 z51. I know this is skinnier than the recommended 10" wide rim but will it work?

not an expert so explain please.......why would you want to go narrower on the rear....I understand the taller.....but losing the extra 3" of tire out back doesn't make sense to me if you are looking for the most grip.....maybe no one makes the right size Drag Radial?

Yea, That is the best rim/wheel combo i could find. And from my experience, Tire width has ZERO to do with traction. Just my experience...
