Hi folks....last May I used Zaino for the 1st time, and applied two coats. I loved it----went on and buffed off very easy; it lasted the entire season. This afternoon I will use the Zaino again. When I applied it last year, there wasn't the 'haze' they talked about; even after we waited over 30 minutes (we used the ZFX with the Z-2; then the Z-6; then repeated the process). It never 'hazed.' The instructions and on-line advice said when in doubt 'use less,' and this is what we did------in the back of my mind I always wondered if we used enough where it didn't haze. Think I even emailed the Zaino people and I seem to recall them saying I was better off using less, and not worrying about the haze. My question---what are your thoughts and advice?
The haze may not be apparent due to varying humidity in the air. With Zaino, less is more and a haze is not a requirement.
The post above says to try another product. You certainly can do that. But, I don't know why you would when you have already found what is arguably the very best of the best.
I have used various Zaino products over the years on Vettes and Mercedes. I have also tried various other brands as well…. bottom line for me: Zaino is a high quality product, works as advertised….is the easiest I have ever used…..works best on high quality finishes and dedicated show cars ( i tried it on an inexpensive Toyota daily driver….. wasn't pleased with the results )
You may not see the haze on a light color car. The test is to run you finger over a small area if it comes off dry you are good to go. If its a little damp wait a little longer. I would say if you liked the result the first time you did it right

This has been my experience too. Great product IMO.
Wipe some across your window while applying, you will see hazing/residue there.
If you like it, use it, don't worry about the haters...
I like your suggestion about the window test. Thank you and the others above---I will stick with the little is more thinking; and my car is light in color--velocity yellow. As for the detractors---you have to wonder. I specifically posted the question for Zaino users---so if you aren't a user or don't have something constructive to contribute....????............I have used a ton of other products over the decades, and I find Zaino to be one of easiest to use; one of the most cost effective products when used properly; and it has given me the best results----it is what it is---a great product based on my actual experience. I HATE spending time washing and waxing my car---Zaino is the best at limiting the pain for me. I also use REJEX on the rims, and I am very happy with that product as well. Thanks again everyone.
My Coupe is also VY, and depending on the humidity level and how much you apply, will depend on the "haze" you will see.
Less is more, and multiple costs will only result in a better shine as you are layering the product.
For some reason, there are some folks who want to degrade a product of high quality simply because they either didn't get the same result, or have a stick somewhere that it shouldn't be.
If you have already been satisfied with the Zaino product, that's great! There are lots of other products out there to try, but since you have invested the time & money with good results, keep with it!
I have used Zaino product and like it very much, use Adams a lot as well, I think the lack of haze has to do with temperature and humidity conditions. I just did my car and had to swipe my finger across the finish to see if it was dry, it never seemed to haze. Temperature was a bit cool in the garage, I think you need to be in the mid to upper 60's. I prefer it to be in the 70's when I wax but I'm not too patient, always want to get the car "ready".
I have used Zaino for fifteen years, so I'm obviously happy with the results. The only difficulty I've found is if you use too much; it is a heartache to remove. AFA other products? If we all liked the same things, we'd all be married to the same woman!

I have used Zaino for 13 years. Applying several thin coats using the accelerator will give you the best results. Easy to apply and remove!

I no longer use the accelerator. My car is not a daily driver and being in my local there are many weeks were it sits idle.
I usually clay bar early in spring then do the following. Monday, apply a thin coat of Z-2 (30 minutes), Tuesday wipe/buff it off (30 minutes), repeat. By the end of the week I have 3 coats that will last me all season longand I haven't worn myself out by doing it all at one time.
After that, California duster/car wash & dry/detail spray is all I need.
I have used a lot of Zaino on my previous black coupe with what I thought were good results. Black is a beautiful color but damn it is challenging to keep looking nice.
We just traded in Feb for a 2006 victory red z06.
Long story short, this past week I applied the Wolfgang total swirl remover and then the Wolfgang finishing glaze to polish the paint. I then applied the Wolfgang deep gloss spritz and let it set over night to cure. Purchased from auto geek.com in sample sizes. Darn expensive stuff.I then followed with the C-magic wax covering the entire car first before I went back and used the C-magic detail wax with a micro fiber. I did the waxing with two coats. Easy to apply with immediate results.
It popped!!!
Can't say if using the Zaino rather the C magic would have elicited the same effect?????
Bottom line (to me) there are a million good products out there. My only advice (take it for what it is worth), is to make sure you prep your car paint surface (clay bar, etc) before you apply your wax product.
To me, have the joy of having a Vette is the quiet time spent making it look awesome!
Good luck!

Oh KSUPROF-----you are probably one of the nicest folks around, etc., etc., but I am on the opposite end of the spectrum with you on this---of course, that is why Howard Johnson's had 28 flavors of ice-cream (no wrong flavor; just something for everyone; and ice cream is all good). I really despise washing, polishing, cleaning the outside of the car---I get all balled up inside for the few days before just knowing I have to do it. I spend this quiet time cursing and sweating. I have many friends that think like you do---they look forward to the quiet time of waxing their cars, etc. I hate doing it. For my prior corvettes I would take them to one of the local car washes, and they would wax them for $40...............but I bought this last one new and I am too chicken to take it through the car wash---never had an issue before, but you do hear the horror stories. Guys in my corvette club would go crazy when I told them I just came from the car wash.
Well, I just put the 2nd coat of Zaino on and I am waiting for it to dry--then one more coat of the Z-6...........will do the Z-8 before I take it out next time. I am tired (and I washed it yesterday). That will be it until either late September, or next Spring....I will be like Quik Silver and use the CA duster.
1st we had all the snow, and now it is the rain---can't wait for the good weather to come and stay so we can all get out and really enjoy our cars.
Sounds good Mr. Yellow427 and thank you for the compliment.
You need to head further south from all that snow and rain! I would be happy to buy you a good steak and a few rounds of beer.

.. Post script.. Mrs KSUPROF also mentioned to me that i am allowed to touch her curves and those of our Z06 (which she refers to as the Mistress). Perhaps that is why guys like me like doing it so much!!! Cheers!

Maybe the outside temps had something to do with the hazing. I applied it then let the car sit in the garage for a few hours before removing. I only use Z2 on mine & don't feel a need for any other steps:
