Cool thing at Bash was on site tech support. I was able to get some questions answered and have my top adjusted as I waited. Brittany the tech who is the primary vette tech at a large dealer in Oklahoma lubed my seals which should be done once a year. Saved a trip to dealer. It was great to see a young gal so dedicated to her job and the corvette! Cheers and thanks Brittany!
That's is a cool thing to happen! Wish I'd known about it last year when I was there. Matter of fact, I just learned something about the seals from you. Thanks! Good looking car you have there!

I was wondering about this exact thing this morning.
What kind of lube did she use? Mine probably needs it...

Her and Paul are an awesome resource for the Corvette community for sure. Not only are they both incredibly nice people, and extremely knowledgeable, they are genuine enthusiasts.
This is the type of person I want to work on my Vette. I'm still waiting for them to move to STL....

Can you describe exactly where the seals are the were lubed. I would like to do this myself.

Yes, exactly my question. I don't know about any special treatment, or where all the seals are located.
The one that is embedded in the car body, that runs around under the rear frame of the top, is the one i know about. I use 303 spray on that. But I can't figure out how lubing that would make the top work better. Maybe it helps keep the seal(s) from deteriorating over time, ...

Ditto. Didn't know they had to be lubed regularly either.
Thanks.

The rubber on the top of windshield, All the rubber that surrounds the vert top. That is what she did. Ive done it with Armor All also. Its mainly to keep the seals from breaking down and cracking over time. but I probably wont have my car long enough to ever have a problem.
Her and Paul did a great job helping me out as well. Had a question about steering angle sensor being reset after adjusting toe and they were spot on. Top notch.
I only know her from Facebook, but she seems to really love Vets. I think she needs one of her own. Any of you guys with an extra Vette sitting around should give it to Brittany for being soo cool.
