Default Concerned about service

This is our second Vette. First was a '64 now a '07. We were given this car by one of our children. It has been a long time since we had to think of servicing/maintaining such a prize. So, the question is, who do I take my car to and feel like it is in good hands? Local Dealers ( and there are many) all have some pretty negative customer reviews. I have used a local service for my family car and am pleased with the results and all are qualified mechanics however this would be the only Vette in their experience.
Bottom line here... whom do I trust?

Are there any corvette clubs anywhere near where you live? If so, talk with them and get some suggestions where to go for service etc. They should know who to either recommend or avoid.

Another vote for checking with local Corvette clubs.

If your location was listed on the left when you post something, maybe someone would know where to send you. We're allllll over.......

There really isn't a lot of maintenance needed. Plugs will go 75-100,000, Oil 7,500, 5 years on coolant. Just add gas and drive.

Go to sears, harbor freight or other tool supplier, and then to your driveway. Oil changes are all that is necessary for the most part.

Default Maintenance?

I know everyone can't work on their cars and at my age it isn't as easy as it used to be, but try to do what you can yourself. Corvettes are pretty reliable cars so unless something odd happens you should only need general maintenance. I don't trust just anyone working on my car so I do everything I can myself. You can get a lot of help and advice on this forum and there are a lot of videos on YouTube that might help you with certain jobs.

I trust one of my local dealers. They have been performing Corvette service for multiple generations.

Local Corvette club FTW. They pointed me to a top notch dealer that also tends to sponsor most of their events. Even more reassuring, they are the only Calloway in Ohio. Sealed the deal.

I trust my local dealer with my car. Guess I'm lucky, it's Kerbeck. Now that the oil change is $19.95 (Dexos) I just can't do it myself.

I agree with the above, check your local clubs. They'll surely recommend someone you can trust.

Congrats and good luck with the new car.

There isn't much with an '07 Vette that a competent general-purpose mechanic can't handle.

However, there are a few things that the inexperienced need to have pointed out to them.
Such as the lifting/jacking areas. Print out bugman's diagram from the stickys.

You can try posting on your Regional Forum for recommended local shops.

Unfortunately there seems to be many more incompetent dealer-shops than good ones.

Rule of thumb: only go to a dealer for warranty work.

Thank you all for the input. Good advice, I will take it to a well known independent shop.
