So I've had my vette for a couple years now, but after parking in a lot, i get out and still find that i seem to be pulling into parking spots too far. Geesh feeling stupid.

haha... you've taken longer than me, but I definitely did that at first. Now I am paranoid about it, so I never get close.

I've always thought that folks who back in seem a bit pretentious. Maybe there's merit in that. Perhaps I'll try that.

Some parking areas around here do not allow backing in.

I never back in anyway.

Scratched the 350Z front end once and have never done that again.

I error on the side of caution when parking.

Here's an idea....Instead of lowering the Vette, raise it about 2-3" so if you do pull in too far, the lower fascia will clear the concrete stopper.

I have that problem when I stop for gas - I almost always pull in way too far.

Why would anybody lower a Vette. To test the skid plates?

Vette is so short, you can park well away from the bumpers/curbs and still be in the space. Learned from my '06 after doing it twice--no real damage except a bit of scraping the underside of the bumper where it was unnoticeable. No problems since.

How's the new C6 workin' out for ya Rock?

As for me, I always pull into a parking space and always seem to judge the nose distance the same.

I end up about 12" to 15" from the concrete tire stop every time.

One of these days, I'll probably pay the price for not backing in.

Very true.

Pull into the space and stop.

No need to try to get close.

The car is so short it fits in the space without even trying to inch forward to get close to the curb or concrete tire stop thing.

If you think you are a bit far from the curb, get out and look at the rear of the car, it is in plenty far enough and not sticking out.

Easy to park once you get used to knowing you don't have to inch forward.

Since full size crew cab 4 door trucks fit in the parking spaces all day every day, you can feel comfortable the far shorter Vette will fit in the same parking spaces easily without the worry of it sticking out.
