Default Rear Cargo Net

Did all C6 coupes come with the cargo net for under the hatch area, or was the net an option?

For 2012 coupes and verts, only option packages 3LT and 4LT came with a cargo net and luggage shade.

I don't think it was an option package that you could buy if yours didn't come with one.

My 05 window sticker has it listed in the options column under PREFERRED EQUIPMENT GROUP as LUGGAGE SHADE & PARCEL NET.

It's part of the 1SA preferred equipment group, not a stand-alone equipment group.

Coupe, 1SA:
INCLUDES:
• Key Standard Features
• 1SX features
PLUS:
• Luggage shade and cargo convenience net
• Side-impact air bags for driver and passenger
• 6-way power passenger seat
• Sport bucket seats with perforated leather seating surfaces and power
lumbar and wing adjustment

So, my car is a 12 GS with the 2LT package, but has all the above listed goodies except the cargo net! So, I assume it came with a net and the original owner must have kept it.

No, please reread my first post in this thread.

For model year 2012, only those coupes and verts (including GS) with option package 3LT and 4LT came with the cargo net and luggage shade.

Different model years, different option packages came with them.

I have everything you list with the 1SA package, including the luggage shade, so doesn't that indicate that I should have a cargo net too? Even though I just have the 2LT?

No. 1SA was only for model year 2005. Option packages for model year 2005 were only good for model year 2005. Those option packages were labeled 1SX, 1SA, and 1SB.

Are you asking about a 2005 C6? The information I posted for a 2012 was taken from the 2012 ordering guide.

Different model years had different contents for the different option packages.

A 2LT & above should have the net. I bought a new 13 1LT GS, they don't come with a net or cargo shade. I bought a net from GMpartswharehouse for around $45.
