What do you mean by paint shield? If it is the clear film to prevent rock chips...... I would recommend it.. I have used it on my last 3 Vettes and and my last 2 Avalanches..... No problems. No yellowing.

are you asking about a clear film application (Clear Bra) or the 3M paint defender spray on film?

I have, the product was fine. Had it put on my new F150 in 05 by the local accessory shop. They called me down to the shop because they were having problems. The jackwagon installer had really boogered the job up. He only got the leading edge of the hood covered and had plenty of air bubbles under the film along with a lot of the pine pollen present that day. At least the pollen gave the black paint a sort of custom look. Left the hood film on and stopped there. If you have it done make sure the shop knows what they are doing. Steve

I hve had the 3M plastic shield on my 2008 since new. No fading or peeling. Still looks new. I recommend it to protect your Vette.
