Replacing Brake Light Switch on C6

have any of you ever had the pleasure of replacing the Brake Light Switch over the Brake Pedal ?? If you have, how in the hell did you do it ??

Some suggestions in the threads above, but it sounds like you may need to remove the seat and lay on the floor to reach the sensor. and if replacing the sensor doesn't fix it, then the BCM is bad
