I put Firestone Wideoval runflat tires on the front of my 2012 coupe today. I only
Drove wbout 15 miles from the shop home, but they sure were quiter and smoother
than the Goodyears. Will be able to say more after a couple thousand miles.

yea they had a Good Year but that was a long time ago lol.
Had FS Wide Oval on my C4, went from street to track and they performed awesome. If and when my Michelins need replaced I'm going with them again. For the money they can't be beat.

I now have a little over 35K miles in 5 years on my Firestones and I still love them. But all tires are going to get harder with age. That means they will make more noise and get slicker. I swapped out the Goodyear Supercar tires at about 15K because the tread was worn off on the inside edges in the front and they were getting noisy. The Firestones still have plenty of tread but they are starting to make enough noise that I'm beginning to notice it and they will no longer pull much more than 1.1 G's in the turns before they start to slide. When new they were quiet and would easily pull 1.2G's (as good or better than the Goodyear Supercar tires).
I put these on my G8 and almost put them on my vette, but I went with what is basically the non-runflat version of the stock Goodyears. Very big difference. Much smoother and quieter.
