went to another Vette Show yesterday and won first place. car is usually pretty clean but applied secret formula to car and got lots of compliments. it took about 15 minutes to do car and it came out great. applied the following: isoparaffinic hydrocarbon solvent, polydimethylsiloxanes, water, butane, isobutane and propane. been using this for many years with much success. no harmful affects, use on all painted areas, tires and windshield. use on seats if not brushed leather. cost about $1.79. Amazing product. it's called "LEMON PLEDGE" same ingredients in Maguires Wax. just wanted to share what has worked well for years, no myths. never had a problem. lots of compliments and trophies.
I'm still wondering where I can get some of that dealer glaze they slather on cars to make the paint look so perfect. Then again I've never actively looked for it either.
and it smells great!.... heard this before for paint and even for leather, but never for the Tires or GLASS.....
never tried it....and prob wont since I already have a lot of car specific products that I like....but it is good to know that it is time tested not to damage any surface of the car.....
To each their own whatever works and you think gives you the best look and protection that is what you should go with.
Lemon Pledge is not one I would choose to use on my Vette.
We used Lemon Pledge for years on all of our race cars. It works great, we used it between secessions for a quick cleanup. It also works very well on tires, not a fake high gloss shine, just a nice glow, and it LASTS a long time. We use it to ELIMINATE the white fog problem on our C6 interior panels.
Only problem we ever had with Lemon Pledge on our cars, is it smells really nice and at times it would attract bee's.
They also market an " All Surface" product, but we have not used this yet.
Try it! I'll bet it will amaze you.
I've been hearing about using Lemon Pledge for years, as i'm sure a lot of you have. I have also heard about using a few drops of kerosene in a cup of water works really well. But I just can't seem to try it on my Vette when there are so many good proven products for auto paint out there. Glad it works for you though.
