Default Some ideas

Ok,

I would like some feedback. I may (depending on SWMBO, She Who Must Be Obeyed) have some spare monies to throw at the Sancha, otherwise known as the 08 Corvette.

I am thinking I might, MIGHT, have about 5k to spend. I am mulling over the following:

1. Grand Sport Widebody Conversion - it's the least expensive and is more inclusive, plus I can get a ZR1 style front splitter.
2. Intake, cam and finish out the exhaust (as in ship my Z06 exhaust from Texas to install here) plus a tune.
3. Edelbrock supercharger.

I have Z06 brakes and Pfadt everything else. I have TSW Nurburgrings already, that are wider than stock.

WWC6Forum do?

You can get a ZR1 style splitter for the base model, so no need to do the full conversion except for the overall looks.
If you plan to track the car then I would go with the performance upgrades over the cosmetic upgrades.
With $5K to spend I am not sure you can get the supercharger for that money. Besides, to really get the full affect of the SC, you would want a nice cam and heads so it can handle the extra air. Also a nice set of headers.
So if you are planning to race it go with your second idea. If you are looking for some thing to turn heads at the local shows and cruise ins, fo with #1 scaled back to rear wide body and then the nice cam and exhaust so they hear yuo come and going.

#2 except with heads & cam instead of intake and cam. Plus headers.

Always opt for performance over looks, IMO.

I have Z06 brakes on my Z51. I have Pfadt adjustable shocks, and Pfadt adjustable sway bars, so the handling part is down. I run 275/35/18 Toyo R888's up front and 305/30/18 R888's in the rear on TSW Nurburgrings.

Does the LS3 REALLY need heads? I read that with a decent cam, a ported LS3 intake with matching throttle body from BER and the exhaust from the Z06 (exhaust manifolds all the way to the back) will give decent gains. The only place I can get a tune is on the west coast, a 6 hour drive.

I already purchased the full Z06 exhaust. It's sitting in my little brother, John's, garage in Texas. Was going to go with a Spinmonster Cam, BER Ported Intake, BER ported throttle body and then go to Seattle Area to find a tuner. Or see if Chuck from COW could do a mail order tune.

That would keep me well under my dollar limit, give me some decent gains, and still keep me fairly stock.
