Just signing up for free trial can't use in winter here in Canada how do I extend contract while I put cAr away for winter thanks

Don't worry,if you don't extend it they will call you,write you a letter,send you emails and interrupt your favorite song on the radio with the very important message that you will never be the same unless you renew your onstar! Ask me how I know...

I put my car away in November, so I call them on Nov 1 to suspend service. I call again on April 1 to re-instate the service, which also extends any unused minutes left over from the previous year.
If you don't call, they will automatically renew on the agreed upon date (April 1 for me), but you will lose those left over minutes. Ask me how I know that? That's why I now call them before my left over minutes are gone (April 14)

They bill me on a monthly basis for the safe and sound plan via my CC.
I do the same for XM, but I pay for only 7 months (1 payment per year) but the service stays active even over the winter months, so I can listen to XM in my garage if I want to.
