I'm beginning to think my '12 GS is possessed. I've had some odd electrical problems, nothing major, but every now, among other things, I can't open my trunk with the button. I either have to remove the key FOB and open it with the key or open the door and push the interior trunk release button. I thought it may have been a weak battery so I replaced it but it still does the same thing. The other day it wouldn't even let me use the inside trunk release button, I had to use the key. Recently my memory seats are acting bizarre. I only use the #1 key and it seems to move to wherever it wants to, both the driver and exit position never seem to go to the same place. I've tried reprogramming them but the problem persists. The owners manual says that the seat may stop moving if it is blocked but I checked and there is nothing that could block seat movements. Occasionally it will go to the correct spots but more often than not, it doesn't.
Low battery voltage? Low voltage causes our cars to act strange.
Back in 79 when I had my 69 I witnessed a 78 Vette have a wreck. At that very moment my radio quit working and my windshield wipers came on. Talk about possesed!! Nicknamed my car Ghost after that.
Many cars, not just the vette or GM, have a tendency to turn on lights with low voltage and typically will set a code. Often BCMs, cluster etc, but not the PCM, will display a 'no communication' code.
I don't have a multi meter with me on my business trip but will check when I get home. FWIW the Volt Meter gauge on the instrument panel goes up to almost 14V when the car is started so it appears to be charging properly.

Thoughts?
I had this problem and I zip tied all the connectors under the drivers seat as shown. It solved my problem and it has not returned.

Its a fiberglass corvette, so start with the grounding wires to make sure that they have a good ground, and work back from there.
As for the hatch latch, clean the manual rubber manual button next to the key socket for starters, since it may be the source of your problem. It can get littered with dust, which holds the button in the in position to wig out the Module that sends a signal to the control module to send a signal back to the latch module to unlatch it (read key is the only thing that connects directly to the hatch latch via a cam to open it that way when the power dies. The rest of the car, latch. fobs and door buttons sends out a signal to the control module first, then it sends a single back to the windows to index, then latch/door release modules to unlatch afterwards.
Also to point out, since the system is working off FR signals being sent back and forth, make sure that you have not installed something in the car that is blocking the RF signals, and the problem at hand.
I have an 08 I bought new and have had the same problems, plus other computer related problems. I have had the car into the dealer several times while under the warranty and was never able to figure out the cause to the problem. My best guess is that we are sometimes experiencing a computer glitch.
I have solved the problem on several occasions by turning the ignition on or off or putting the ignition into accessory mode. Sometimes nothing works. Sometimes the problems occur repeatedly or sometimes one time.
