Default Question about headers!

I have found a pair of PFADT 1 7/8 Tri-Y Longtube Headers but they are for 2009-13 year model. The thing is, I own a 2008 C6 and am wondering whats the difference between the headers for the 2008 model and 2009 model? Will the still fit on my car if i bought them, even though it said they are for the 2009-13? Someone please help me!!!

Motor is the same. They should fit without an issue, unless there's some quirky accessory belt or something that was moved? My question is are you planning on more than just the headers? If not, 1 7/8" is too big.

Can't provide any info on the difference between the 08-09 headers...

But I spoke with an installer and tuner who said 1 7/8's are the way to go with the LS3's. He said 1 3/4's are good for LS1/LS2's but on the LS3, the 1 7/8's make more power/tq throughout almost the entire powerband.

2009 and up have a slightly different rear axle housing that changes the angle of the piping on the pax side before the over axle pipes by a couple of degrees. You can use the headers but you'll have to 1: have a muffler shop bend them to fit or 2: find a matching xpipe from a 2008 set or 3: buy a 2009 and up pax side over axle tube. Personally I think it'd be a lot easier to have a muffler shop heat up the pipes and bend them into shape. Its only going to be off by 1/4 inch or maybe a little less.

His question was about the headers. Yes, they will fit and bolt in as will the cats/cat delet pipe and mid pipe. If you are buying a complete exhaust (not just headers) then you will have to modify the over axle pipe on the passenger side.

Personally it wouldn't make one bit of diff whether it was a steal of a deal. I'd buy someting currently being manufactured such as KOOKS, LG or ARH.
