Default Double Check...

Hello all...I am just double checking about a battery tender question. I will be gone for 4 and half months and leaving my Z in the garage covered and tires at 40psi...However my question is if I leave the battery tender on the car for 4 and half months will that be a problem? Hoping not but would love some advice. Asked a few weeks ago but got some varied responses ,so I am a little confused. Thank you in advance for your help. Just a little nervous about leaving the tender plugged in for that long but maybe it will be fine...I know most all of you have more experience with this issue then I!!!

It should be fine. Many on here leave their Vettes on a tender all winter with no troubles. I have a CTEK and it works great but there are many other brands that the members on here use with very good results as well.

Should be just fine as long as it is a real battery tender which stops trickle charging when the battery is fully charged and then cycles on and off to maintain the charge. I have a Battery Tender + which does just that and remains on my car all the time when it is in the garage for a day or weeks. As a matter of fact I have two of them, one for each vehicle that are always on both vehicles when they are in the garage.

My tender is the factory one that came with the car under the battery protection package...

Perfect. It's just a rebadged CTEK 3300. Hook it up and don't worry about it.

And plug it into a surge protector for even more piece of mind.

The factory tender is a CTEK. I have been using mine when I store the car for the winter which is usually 4-5 months with no problems.
