Several years ago I was quoted between $1000 and $1300 by 3 places. I ended up doing it myself for less than $100, but it took about 15 hours. I recent swapped it out again in around 10 hours, but at age 72 I don't rush anymore.

I can do it in my garage without a lift in under 5 hours. If somebody wants to charge you more than that, find another shop.
