Default Black box?
I'm getting familiar with my new '08 C6 and I noticed a black rectangular box mounted on the upper windshield to the right of the rear view mirror. Is this an On Star or Sirius receiver?

It has the two OnStar antennas inside, one for it's GPS and one for Cell phone.

The 'brains' are elsewhere.

The brains are in the back behind the right side cubby.
