As long as your arms arnt to big you can lay on the floor and get to them without jacking.
I do the same...and I usually close my eyes () because I can't see what I'm doing anyway. Also, if you are going to LED you probly know two things:
they have to go in a certain way;
the first way you put them in will be wrong.

I got one right and one wrong. Typical odds for me.
I did not have to jack car up to upgrade back up lights to LED's. However, my garage sits just a bit higher than my driveway since the driveway is downhill from garage. Like others said, you can not see where the bulbs are but it is an easy install. Lay on your back and reach up from underneath the back up lens. Remove bulb holder and replace stock bulb with LED. When you replace them, test to see if they work before you reinstall them as they only work if you put them in the correct way.
I just laid on my back and reached up with my hand a viola! The install went quick and easy for me. I even got them correctly inserted the first time. I love the super bright white light when backing up.
Even though it's 50/50, seems like they always go in wrong the first time. Might as well just get them ready to put in the socket and then at the very last minute, turn them 180 degrees.
I bought SMD LED Lights as well and didnt do it until after I had a STS Twin Turbo system installed and the pipe that runs from the turbo to the front of the car go directly behind the light sockets so the only way to install mine is to drop the rear diffuser talk about a pain in the backside....lol
