does the car vibrate when you turn on the AC ? mine has been doing this also, yesterday I had my neighbor ( who is a more than decent mechanic ) watch/ listen and the second I turned AC on he said the pully was wobbling like crazy !!! he's thinking new compressor . just ordered a new one last night, good thing I got him to help tackle this install, then going to take it 2 blocks away and get it all recharged and no more noise/ vibrarion hopefully . oh and the AC still blows nice and cold. You might want to check out that pully/ AC clutch.

My AC bearing went out and I had a similar prob. Just not anything close to knocking. I would get a weird whine/swoosh noise around 1800-3K rpms. Long story short my warranty replaced my whole compressor and condenser. Wasn't cheap for them either. Also the noise would go away when the AC was off. Anytime it was on the noise came back.

So i added can of seafoam and changed from chevron to shell gas.
Didn't help, now i can hear it without AC beeing on.
In 3rd and 4th gear under heavy acceleration and over 3500rpm's it ticks like a machine gun. But as soon as i shift to higher gear and release pressure on the engine and drop rpm's ticking goes away.
But whats weird, i dont get ticking all the time, its 50/50
Maybe my tune has to be adjusted
