I am looking at a 2006 Corvette convertable. The seller said it was a 2LT. It has 6 disc cd, HUD, heated seats, power telescopic column. May have other options I did not see. I was on line & one source said this would be a 3LT. Any body know?

Same thing happened to me in July of 2012 when I bought my 06 vert. Mine seemed to have just about every option except for the NAV and a power top but it did have perforated and heated leather, XM, HUD and so on. The guys here put me straight. I'd like to have a copy of the window sticker but I heard it costs over a hundred bucks to order one. I've put 15,000+ on it so far thru seven states! Must have been a good year and a superior assembly day when they put mine together as it's been a trouble free experience!

I read somewhere that a power top was about a two grand option. Hopefully yours will work well. I've read a number of posts mentioning stuck tops, misaligned tops etc. Most work fine I think. I'll admit it would be a tad more convenient if I had one as sometimes I would like to drop it w/o having to get out but even then it literally takes about a minute to raise it or lower it. Good luck with yours!

What is the problem with the power top? Is it electric motor movement?
No problem with my power top. Works like a charm. Problems are rare, afaik.
The only problem I had on my '07 was the previous owner had let the battery go dead. The top had a mind of it's own. I took it to the dealer, and the Tech knew exactly what it was. He re-indexed the windows, and it has worked fine since. It will give me a false (unlatch header) reading from time to time. Any ideas there would help if you have them.

The power tops are hydraulic, and yes, they can be very temperamental. There are a lot of micro switches...etc...that have to work in perfect unison for it to operate perfectly. I have one and it works....most of the time. Seems like it goes through about 10-15 cycles perfectly, and then it will go through about 3-5 where it doesn't work right. It never gets stuck...at least not yet....but you may have to run it through the cycle several times to get it open or closed. Personally I would rather have a manual, one less cheap Corvette part to give you a hassle. I wouldn't be concerned about not having one just so you can pop it up while in the car, they have so many restrictions on when you can operate it...must be in park....break on....might have to pull on one ear lobe also before it will work...lOL. Now of course there will be floods of post saying how their top works perfect every time and has been for 2000 years, but they should consider themselves fortunate. That's not saying yours won't work.....but do some research in this forum if you run into problems. Good luck
I wouldn't be concerned about the auto top. Just make sure you have the appropriate allen wrench so you can release hydraulic pressure and operate the top manually if it ever has a problem. And remember that window indexing is required when the battery is replaced or dies.
I bought a 2006 white with tan interior 3LT convertable with 26K miles on it. Has every option but nav & magnetic shocks. Has good GMVIS & AutoCheck history report. Was owned for 8 years by an 80 year old gentleman. Drives good, no paint defects & looks like new even on the lift. I am waiting on money from another sale & will get it next week. My first Corvette, I have wanted one since 1962. Sale price was $28K.

Congratulations - you'll like it. My 06 vert has both of these options, but honestly it doesn't matter much. The nav was obsolete in 06 and is doubly so now. Just get a tablet with a nav app. If you're canyon carving the shocks are great, but for ordinary driving they make no important difference.

Look in the glovebox.
It should have a sticker with all of the codes, including either 2LT or 3LT.
Some things, HUD, perforated seats, heated seats, etc. can be added later. Others, telescopic column can't (easily).

Build sheets are available from the museum. Cost starts at about $35
