Default Window Valet

I purchased the Window Valet in September 2013 and, since I don't drive the Vette during winter months, the feature has not been activated frequently...in other words, the unit should not be worn out. However, two days ago the thing simply quit operating. I tried unplugging it, disconnecting and reconnecting the car battery, re-installing the WV...but still nothing. Has anyone else had such an issue with the WV? Any advice on how to re-program the thing to get it operating properly? I've contacted the vendor from whom I made the purchase and am hopeful of some information or replacement. Thanks.

If the fob battery is weak it will reduce the working distance.

Thanks to all that responded to my concern with the Window Valet. All the batteries (car and fob) were new, so that was not the problem. I was on the right track in thinking that having disconnected the battery (to remove the seats in preparation for new two tone seat skins) had affected the WV, but I did not know the entire procedure. After I contacted Josh at Southern Car Parts with my problem, he forwarded my contact information to Top Down Technologies. I received an email from Michael Fuller, President, Top Down Technologies and, after following his instructions, the problem was solved in less than 2 minutes. I could not have had better customer service from Southern Car Parts or Top Down Technologies!! Here is Mr. Fuller's message, in case anyone should need help with the WV in the future.

If a C5 experiences unexpected safely aborts. where the windows drop
after raising them, a re-configuration usually solves the problem.
Follow the window configuration steps as if the WIndow Valet was being installed again for the first time.

On a C6, a Window Valet will often fail to operate after a battery
disconnect on the car. The C6's door modules need to be "re-index'd" in order to properly report the window positioning to the Window Valet. To do this... Activate accessory power. With the door panel button, lower the driver window fully and then raise the driver window fully and hold the button in the up position for three additional seconds after the window has reached the top window seal. Then, release the button and press and hold the up button for three additional seconds, again. Then, do the whole process for the passenger window, too.
