Default Custom Etched Windrestrictor - Installed!!!

After well over two years in debating myself on what to have etched, decision made, production complete and installation done this afternoon in about two hours.

I'm excited to have this mod done and can't wait for top down cruising. Installation video and instructions were very complete and easy to follow. We had my iPad set up in the garage and watched each step and read the instructions before doing it on the car. We did plug in the CTEK to keep the battery charged.

Only a couple items varied from instructions on my C6, built in May 2012. The factory added another plastic fastener into the seat belt tower from the speaker wall that was nearly impossible to remove, so that is 6 fasteners that would have to be removed to move the speakers out of the way.

Then we didn't have the screw fastener into the side of the seat belt tower for the bolt to be installed through. We had a gold clip, like the one on the front side of the tower that we just removed and then drilled a 1/4" hole through after using side cutters to remove the spot where the clip was attached. Much easier than the modification of pulling off the entire clip assembly and super gluing the provided plastic barrel washer to the tower.
Kent from KingPenn had suggested what we ended up doing as easier and I totally agree.

Here's the finished product and I cannot be happier with how it turned out. I didn't buy the illumination module, easy to add if I decide to do so in the future.

Looks great. The car looks awesome and nice job on the photography. BTW, where did you get your elbow pads?

Center arm rest ordered from DSVettes. They do a great job and the embroidered logo really stands out.

I was really asking about the elbow pads on the doors? Did you get them from DSV as well?

Sorry - I wondered but the only mod I did was to the center armrest. The door pads are standard.

Why didn't you get a picture of Reveille etched in there? Maybe you could add it.

I considered that, as well as using Ole Sarge or a Gig'em. However living up in northern MN, not many would understand so I went with what you see.

Plus, my two yellow labs probably would have objected to Rev getting such primary placement when I won't let them even ride in it.

Will keep an eye out for you in September when visiting northern and southwestern MN. Probably not many Aggies around.

Give me a shout if you're up around Warroad and Lake of the Woods. We shouldn't have much snow at that point.

We may only be as far north as Bemidji, unless we go farther north for a few days to do some fishing.
