Need help ! Power steering issue
Hello guys new to the forums am on my 3rd corvette this one is a gen 6 ...bought it with a whine noise almost sounds like its supercharged...but gets annoying quick so i thought noise was coming from power steering pump so i replaced it .....
once i replaced it with a new one i used royal purple synthetic power steering fluid ..... i started the car i took off driving....the whine noise was still there and power steering gave out after 5 minutes .......
i was told i didn't bleed the system off the ground on jack so that the new one was thrashed so i purchased another pump replaced it ...this time i added regular power steering fluid as told by Chevrolet dealer here in westlake ohio
again worked fine for first few minutes then gave out whine still there ....i checked fluid its topped off but seemed to have turned brown in color
...
need help asap we dont have long summers here in ohio ..after all the failed attempts noise turned out to be a bad idler pulley
which i am going to order tomorrow any help appreciated !!
