Default Sagging Drivers Seat

Lately it feels like my drivers seat is sagging in the bottom center section towards the rear. Feels like my butt just sinks when I sit in the seat. The lower side bolsters feel fine. What should I check? Would the rebuild kits that JW sells remedy this? Thanks

i bought a cheap suitcase at Goodwill and cut out heavy nylon panels. Put them between the foam and those flimsy wires. Worked.

Most likely the foam is cutting into the wires that support the seat. The kits helps greatly and is a DIY job.. Take your time and it can be done in a couple hours..

Most likely the problem unless there is actual breakdown or breakage of the frame or wires.

Here's an inexpensive DIY fix with pics. Some have gone to the level of using ballistic nylon for the reinforcement but obviously that's a little more involved and costly.

The seat kit sold by JW Motoring and others is the best solution. It been sold for about 4 years now with almost 100% success from what I've seen. Yes, you could get the materials but in the end it may cost more plus the kit arrives right to you door.

The kit fixes 2 problems: sagging bolsters and sagging middle due to foam cut by the wires.

The kit includes foam, nylon, jute, and zip ties. Just as important, it includes very clear 4 page instruction with photos.

It calls for spray glue but I had a can on the shelf, so I didn't need to buy any. I installed it 3 years ago and it improved my comfort 100%. It fixed the seat design defect really for a very reasonable cost.

High recommended.

GET THE SEAT FOAM KIT!. My '05s are sturdy now. Also place a pice of ccardboard prior to install between the seat wires and the actual foam so that the wires dont eat the foam again.
