Starter Button

Sometimes when I push the button to start the car...the check engine light comes on and no start. Release and maybe try two or three more times and car will start. Does anyone know what's up with that??

Not that I think it is the problem, but at times I don't push the clutch all the way to the floor at times, and not start. Just a thought.

I have the same problem, it's happened a couple times. Sometimes I don't have the clutch pushed in all the way but sometimes it's the button. I push it several times or sometimes push the bottom acc and then the top part again. It's always started but it's scary when I am out on the road. Seems mine does it with hot starts.

my car has been doing it since I bought it new 7.5 years ago - my theory is that it is a software glitch - the dealer could not fix it when under warranty
