Default RPI Eyelids question

Hi everyone. Newbie here in C6, so play nice.
I'm getting ready to place an order with RPI on their pre Labor day deal/sale.
I've made up a list of stuff and have a question for you.

Have any of you seen or used the Headlight "Eyelids" that they sell? Anyone have any shots of them on a / their own car, prefer a Victory Red shot if available.
http://www.rpidesigns.com/shop/item.aspx?itemid=982

Any constructive feedback on this is encouraged. Thanks

Hmm never seen these. They are pretty inexpensive so might be worth a try. If you don't like them, you wont be out much. I would guess most on this site will not like them though.

I have purchased from RPI and they have been really good to deal with.

I'm wondering how they'd look myself, that's why I'm asking.

Yup, I've had good luck and heard good things with RPI too.

I've been and still have my C5 so it's different having the big headlight look for me. Just wishing they were smaller.

I'm just hoping for some pictures if anyone has done it. Thanks guys.

My question is "Why would anyone put those on a C6?".

Doesn't improve the looks at all IMO.

This is pretty much what I expected guys. That's why I'm asking if they've sold any and let's see them. It's for sure that I'd prefer the eyelids to the eyelash.

Perhaps they haven't sold any or the ones that did it are afraid to show them here.

Come on, don't rule out the lashes so fast.

As far as the eyelids go, I have been to a lot of car shows and seen tons of pics on the forum and have never seen them before.

Well that's why I said most on this site will not like them much. A lot of CF Vette owners tend to shy away from MODs. It's your ride so you have to make the choice on what you think will look good. I have several MODs. Most of them turned out to my liking and those that didn't I just removed. Don't let others tell you what you should like. Do what you want.

I think the RPI photos give you a good idea as to what it will look like on VR. You may be able to request other photos from them as well.

The color matched ones on the website look ok, in thumbnail form at least. The chrome ones I have seen pictures of look hideous.

I'd never seen it/them before either. I came across them, while going through the RPI stuff and wondered how they looked.
It appears, I've saved myself 30 bucks. Thanks to everyone for playing.

I think the original headlight design has just enough aggressiveness...I think the eyelids cheapen the look of the car...just my opinion...

I'm going to add my vote to the nay side as well. IMO they're really tacky. How about a carbon fiber splitter instead? A lot more money but IMO changes the look in a very positive and up grading way.

I thought this was some kind of joke at first until I hit the link to the web site to see what it was. They're not for me.

Thanks for this link. There's a guy on it that actually bought a set and says they are cheap looking and never put them on. Poor quality and cheap looking, that's the information I needed.
So thanks everyone, it's no eyelids for this car. Here's a peek at it without said lids or lashes.
