427 alignment

GM sets the alignment on the corvettes more aggressive (read favoring the inside corners of the tires on a flat stance since it will put the outer tires flat to the ground for the best grip on hard banking), meaning that you will wear the tires out faster if all you are doing is street driving the car.
With tires around $2K to replace, if you are only going to be DD the car and not push it, then spend the $150 to have the alignment changed to street only alignment.
Here is the Pfad specs, so print it out, and have the tech use the street spec.

The Pfadt street numbers are GM specs; a little too much camber for us non-performance drivers and will cause inside tire wear on the fronts. I have found that -.5 keeps the tread wear flat across the surface of the tire. I use just a touch of toe in; .065 works well....
Go for the Firestone lifetime alignment and use it once a year....cheap insurance Vs. the cost of a sent of tires.

I found out this information when I went to the Chevrolet Dealership to change out the very bad worn tires on my Z06.

The Pfadt street alignment was better than original specs. But, still too "aggressive". I got double the tire life than OEM. But, still only 20K on Invos. Didn't bother me because I buy new tires every 20K anyway.

picking it up at noon today and will post the alignment spec used. I left the Pfadt specs with tech but left it up to him to set. 6500 miles and tires appear to be wearing fine.
At the bash in April I asked the marketing mgr for corvette and he said 427 is set up between zo6 and GS.

427 alignment update
Just got my car back from dealer. Great tech and service. Replaced steering gear(rack) and car is tighter and problem gone. Had alignment done with as close to Pfadt street alignment as possible.
front camber before:-1.1, after:-0.8 caster:7.9,toe-0.01. Tech said this was best done with out going into red zone whatever that means. But now I have a less aggressive alignment for best tire wear and street use. No pulling and tracks beautiful.
cheers
