These fine scratches exactly follow the wiper coverage and the direction of travel. Imagine that your windshield wiper blades were made from Scotchbrite and you turned them on high for half an hour on a dry sunny day. You don't notice the scratches when looking at the car, but if you're driving towards the sun or oncoming traffic at night, the scratches are significant. I've never seen this on any other car I've owned. Is this a typical Corvette issue? Any recommendations on how to correct it other than replacement? I wish I had noticed it during the test drive, but I was having too much fun.
You couldn't have described my 07 coupe's wind shield any better. Exactly the same. I got the car with 107k miles, noticed the damage but figured it come right off. I mean really, how can rubber be harder than glass? I make some feeble attempts at corrections with no avail. Did a bunch of research and concluded the only fix is a new wind shield.

There will be a lot more by 75k miles, and you'll really see them when driving into the sun, but by then you'll be used to it.
