National Corvette Museum will Fill the Sinkhole
It's apparently too costly to leave the sinkhole as an exhibit. Also, only three of the eight Vettes will be restored. The others suffered too much damage but their "remains will continue to be displayed."
News story here. You know, everybody loves a Vette ...

I will be glad when it is covered up. It is good that is has been an attraction and attendance has been up. Once Labor Day is over fill it up and move on.

I got to see the sinkhole firsthand, and the pile of car rubble that came out of the hole.
I can see why only 3 of the cars are being rebuilt, the ones that weren't damaged too badly. The others were beyond rebuild, and are best left as is.
I'm glad to see that once the NCM bash got finished, that they have decided to fill in the sinkhole and make that dome reusable once again to showcase corvettes.
