Have you checked the Dot 4 fluid reservoir?

First thing to do search the forum for the Ranger Method, easy fix if that's the problem.

Yes. It's a simple process. Make sure you have a new container of Dot 4 brake fluid. Do a search for the Ranger method and do it until the fluid is clear.

...and keep the clutch reservoir full, and change the fluid whenever it starts to turn color (no longer clear).

No, I have never had it happen to mine, did the Ranger method about 2 years ago as a preventive maintenance and no issues.

I'm not sure this happens "often," but there have been several reports/threads of failed clutch master cylinders or clutch slave cylinders...
do a search and you should find them.

The clutch hydraulic fluid gets dirty quickly, because the seals at the slave cylinder let clutch dust past the same and the fluid gets
contaminated, turning darker over time. If you have no hydraulic response, maybe one of two these parts failed ?

So far so good with mine as well...

as both RoadkingC6 and VET4LES have suggested, it's certainly the first place to start...

also, there is a small spring at the pedal mechanism to assist with the pedal return...sometimes this spring pops out.

This happened to me, had to get a new master cylinder. Hopefully you can fix yours just by swapping fluid.

I just had this happen to me during an autocross event on Saturday. I had the exact same issue as you. The Ranger method did nothing for me.

I removed the master cylinder and took it apart and found the cup seal had come off of the piston. Please check out my thread as this may relate to you.

Dirty clutch fluid and missing clutch pedal spring would be the first things to check since they are cheap to correct,

but short of that,

Then could anything from a bad master cylinder, clogged coupling or lines, bad slave cylinder, or the clutch cooked.

That's probably true, but then again, he just joined CF. So, if he didn't know the Ranger method before, he hopefully will now.
