I saw the ad on here, not too long ago, for the in-dash lettering from RPI. Ordered a set and got them installed a few days ago. I really think it adds a touch of class to an already classy ride
I had the same issue with mine, I've used armorial in the past talked to a interior guy and they told me to use denatured alcohol to clean all resedue from any kinda interior products before and adhesive will stick. haven't tried it yet but i will in the future
Are you using the same lettering that is for the rear bumper? I made that mistake when I first got the letterin for the rear bumper. I laid the letters on the dash, to see what it would look like, and liked it, so I ordered another set. They will NOT stick to the dash. These are specifically designed for the dash. I wiped mine down with plain old Isopropyl alcohol, and the adhesive on these letters is so sticky, that you better make sure you have them on right the firs time, or they're a b!tch to get off. I managed to pull one of them off to re-position it, but I think I may have got lucky
I ordered one set from somewhere and they were such a mess to get on I ended up rolling them up in a ball and throwing them in the trash.....those look nice I may have to try again........
I tried the dash lettering when I first got my car. But couldn't get the letters to stick even after alcohol and adhesive promoter. Oh well.

Exact same scenario here, and I did this TWO different times. Never any luck.
As far as I know RPI makes no distinction between dash or bumper letters and they use the same 3M tape adhesive.
I've had their letters on both places on my C6 for 8 years now. I used their vinyl/plastic ones so they could flex with the dash and/or bumper. Red on the dash and chrome on the back bumper.
Prep is the key, especially on the dash. Repeated scrubbing (5-6 times in my case) with alcohol is necessary on the dash as any kind of treatment (like Armorall/etc.) left behind will prevent the letters from sticking.
You have to do this in warm weather too, and I used a hair dryer to get the dash really warm.
I also used an adhesion promoter, and again regarding the dash, I think this is a required step for a long lasting install.
I used the same process on the bumper but getting the wax off was much easier than cleaning the dash was.
Painting is another very good DIY option.
I think these add a nice finishing touch in both locations.

It's all in the preparation. I put red letters on the dash and chrome on the bumper just as described by **** Jockey. They have both held up very nicely so far and still look really good.
I painted mine with instructions on the Forum painted them same as the car Victory Red they came out great and have lasted perfect for over 2 years. Clean very well tape off around the letters spray clean around letters spray again and clean.
