If you want just bug and small debris protection a stretch is cheaper and more convenient. Speed Lingerie is more expensive and much heavier to deal with but, provides better protection.
I really like my Colgan bra. Very easy to put on and take off and MUCH cheaper than a Speed Lingerie bra. Unlike the SL bras it only comes in black - although you can choose between what they call a "crushed" finish or faux carbon fiber pattern. I used mine for the 1500 mile round trip to the Museum and back last month and didn't have a bug nor a single rock chip on the front. Obviously a bit more expensive than a stretch bra, but I think both better looking and more effective overall.
I just traded in my 02 and sold my speed Lingerie which l only used twice
The Speed Lingerie l bought on the forum for $175 and sold it for $165 del.
My concern is pebbles on the interstates not bugs.
Stretch is probably the way to go.

A mile driven is a mile driven on local streets/highways or interstates. Never understood why people feel the need for a bra on a trip and not for daily driving.

Driving on an interstate l have to deal with trucks both coming and going plus l am going at least 70 mph maybe another 10mph.
Around town i am driving around 45 mph and no trucks.
I will be driving once a year from Ga. To NY should l just buy a stretch blk bra or a Speed Lingerie bra used?
Thanks
Alan
I have used various bras, and in my opinion nothing compares to the speed lingerie. Plus if you get a color match, it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.
I've got it on my car and it's a fantastic product. 10 year warranty and not all that visible. Downside is it was about $950 for the front bumper, partial hood and fenders, and mirrors.

A good coat of Rejex will take care of bugs, but I'm like you I worry about paint chips. I just ordered a stretch bra for my C6 from West Coast Corvettes for when I take trips out of town to guard against paint chips on the front. It's easy to put on and take off and it will protect against the small pebbles etc. The stretch bra is cheap insurance and if it stops one chip it's just paid for itself!
My beautiful and very protective S-L bra has been collecting dust in storage since I had Xpel film professionally applied last year. Bras especially S-L offer great protection, but the time and effort to maintain and install them is an issue. If you want the ultimate protection and quality design and fit of a bra go with S-L.
