I am thinking about replacing the door panels on my 2005 C6, because they have become worn and whitish (black interior). Has anyone purchased interior products from Vette Candy? If so, were you satisfied? Their door panels look pretty neat, but they are a bit pricey and there is a $1000 "core charge" that I assume is refunded once you send the old panels back. Just want to make sure that they are legit and reliable.
DSV does some nice work. I have their console cover, shifter, e-brake handle and boots. After doing some comparison shopping, I purchased leather covered door panels from Dennis at Double D Mods. Very nicely done and notably less expensive than some other options out there. Here are a couple of pictures. You can't go wrong with either DSV (or whatever they're calling themselves now) or Double D Mods, IMO.
Ebony leather with titanium stitching and alcantara insert.
Microfiber towel and water will clean up the whitish aspect of your doors.
Ditto, most of the time, the whitish aspect is armor-all and other glossing type agents not mixing well, and this cause the white aspect.
The trick, clean such glossing agents off the plastic to begin with, then when you do go to apply one of these, stick with the same type so you don't get the funky white milking of them not getting along together.
