Did anyone went to the Corvette Expo in Dallas?...
We spent a couple of hours there yesterday morning. It was pretty quiet (not well attended) while we were there, which was OK with us. There were some interesting cars (to us, anyway) indoors. There were some very nice ones parked outside also. Bought a cap. All in all not a spectacular, but a pleasant experience (albeit a bit pricey to get in).
A friend and I went - I bought the tickets online and $13 each was toooo much. It should have been free... I'd give it about a 2 on a scale of 1-5. I won't go back unless I happen to be RIGHT THERE instead of driving 2 hours. There were several new C7s sitting around outside and a few C6s. Inside there was maybe 50 cars on display of various models and years.
One highly modified '58 C1 really caught my eye - the paint was called Platinum Pearl and all of the bright work was black chrome. I took several pictures because I thought it looked so nice. It has a C6 transmission, C6 Z06 brakes, a 700+hp 454 and a few other bits and pieces. The spec sheet I picked up says it's destined for the Barrett Jackson auction in Phoenix. (If it was mine I'd delete the red pinstripe on the wheels...and tone down the red on the brake calipers.)

Another thread was previously started on the Expo, but to add to your thread, I enjoyed it. Was $15 worth the admission? Probably not. Maybe $5 - $10 could have been easier to swallow given the turn out.
Too bad as many nice Corvettes there were outside didn't get parked inside. Even if it were for just one day.
Saw a nice GS out back in the parking lot corner with some exterior mods. Very well done.
Z-Rays black C7 was showcased very well inside too, as well as MS Vette. Nicely done!!
