Thinking of using some Techron Concentrate to clean the fuel system in my '05 with 40K miles (weekend driver). Has anyone used it & if so....results...recommendations?
Techron is considered one of the best, if not THE best fuel system cleaners. IMO if you use top tier gasoline, you don't need it. That's the program I'm on
Thanks guys....I'll give it a try.

Drove over to WM after getting the positive replies. Surprise....they have it on sale for $5.00...regular price was marked as $6.67. Bought 3 bottles.....nothing was posted as to how long the sale price would hold (this is on 9-28) but maybe at least to end of the month.

Reason: Sale price at WM
BG 44K is the same stuff but more concentrated. The "stuff" in both Techron and BG44K is polyetheramine or PEA. BG44k is much more concentrated and much more expensive, I think I pay about $20 for a little can.

I use lucas fuel additive for two fill ups in a row, then a bottle of Techron for the third fill up instead (before starting the cycle again).
The Lucas is not expensive when you are buying it in the large containers since you only use 4oz each time (under $2 a fill up), and pick up Techron at Walmart for around $5 a bottle.
As for the Techron, where is shines is cleaning the fuel level sensor pads so you don't have problems with them down the road.
To add, run the car down to lower than 1/2 full before you add the additives with the fill up. T
The car has two tanks, hence you fill up the drivers tank, then the fuel is sloshed over via slosh tube to fill the passage tank last. The fuel is pulled from the passenger tank first to be used, and once that tank is empty, then the fuel is used from the drivers tank last.
So if you dump the additive in to full tanks, then it does not get over to the passenger tank to work it magic on the fuel lever sensor pads in that tank. Same with only filling the car up half way, since you are leaving the passenger tank dry; hence the passenger tank is the tank that you want to make sure to get the mixed techron with fuel into to prevent fuel sending unit problems.

I've been using the BG 44K once a year and always use top tier fuel. When I do the BG, I add it to a half full tank and run it down to E and then fill up.

Mostly.
We have a retired oil company engineer who posts occasionally, his thinking is that too much detergent in your gas can be like too much soap in your laundry- it can leave deposits of its own. He said if you use Top Tier gas, don't bother with the Techron.
My technique is to always use Top Tier, and rotate between Shell-Mobil-BP, about every 5k miles. Since none of those use Techron (AFAIK), I put in a half-bottle of Techron every year (15k-20k miles).
Still running good at 76k miles.
